Long and short expansion seem to have lost the default settings for input items

I can no longer set the default value for long and short expansion on new input items. Has something changed?

Thanks for bringing this up! In June 2024, we made a change to align the behavior of the long and short expansion fields with other panel detail fields, like length and width. Now, the values for these fields are automatically inherited or copied from the previous panel added, ensuring consistent behavior throughout the software.
As part of this change, we also removed the option to set long and short expansion values as item defaults. We hadn't received much feedback on this initially, but we understand it may not suit everyone’s workflow. We're currently exploring ways to improve this functionality and reintroduce the default setting in a more intuitive way that allows for user-specific adjustments.

We have reintroduced the long and short expansion defaults in MaxCut version 2.9.3.5, released on 9th October 2024.
