    Hi Merlijn,

Thank you for reaching out and flagging this issue. I'm sorry to hear about the crash you're experiencing.

We recently helped another user who encountered a similar “insufficient memory” error during certain operations in MaxCut. In their case, it turned out to be caused by a large number of high-resolution images in their material library. Once those images were removed or resized, the issue no longer occurred.

To help us investigate your case further:

    • Did this issue only start after updating to version 2.9.5.0, or were you experiencing it before as well?
    • Could you let us know what you’re doing in MaxCut just before the crash occurs? For example, is it during optimization, mass changes, or while opening a job file?
    • Do you have material images linked to your sheets, edging, or hardware in MaxCut?

To check whether the images are contributing to the crash, you can try the following:
    1. Close MaxCut completely.
    2. Open the folder:
      C:\ProgramData\MaxCut Software\MaxCut
    3. Find the folder named Images and rename it to something like Images1.
    4. Reopen MaxCut and perform the action that usually causes the crash.
    5. If MaxCut no longer crashes, it likely means the images are the cause.
    6. You can rename the folder back to Images afterward.
    7. This won’t delete anything, it just temporarily disables image loading so we can isolate the issue.
    8. We’re also planning to improve how MaxCut handles large image files in future updates, based on feedback from cases like this.

If you run into any issues or are unsure about any of these steps, we'd be happy to turn this into a support ticket and guide you further. Please let me know how this goes.

Looking forward to your reply so we can help you get back up and running.
