Can it optimise non-uniform / irregular shapes?

MaxCut does not optimise/handle non-uniform or irregular shapes.

MaxCut can only optimise rectangular shapes.

If you have a need for L-Shape optimisation or irregular shapes then MaxCut is not a good match for your need. MaxCut is great at optimising regular rectangular shapes.
