Display dimensions on offcut pieces
AnsweredI really miss the dimensions displayed on the offcut pieces on the optimized sheets screen. Be it for judging if the piece is useable for certain common parts or just to calculate if it should be calculated into waste or left as an offcut.
Having an option to define minimal area/minimal length/minimal width for an useable offcut would be even better, so that useable offcuts can be marked as green, and unusable offcuts marked in yellow should be even better. But having dimensions on all of them should be a given.
Having a list of all the job offcuts would be nice too.

Hi John,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
This is something other users have also mentioned, and I’ve shared your suggestion with our team for consideration, along with your idea of:
- Displaying the dimensions directly on the offcut pieces
- Allowing a user-defined threshold (minimum area, width, or length) to automatically mark offcuts as usable (green) or unusable (yellow)
- Having a dedicated list or report of all offcuts for the job
These are all valuable suggestions that could make offcut tracking and management more efficient, especially in environments where material reuse is important.
While I can’t promise a timeline for implementation, your request has been recorded, and we’ll keep you updated if we move forward with these improvements. If you have any specific workflows or common part sizes that you regularly assess offcuts for, feel free to share them—it might help guide how this could be designed.
Thanks again!
