Improve names on labels to make it easier to group parts from a job
When working with grouped parts, it's very likely that sub-parts in
different groups have the same name.
E.g. it's very likely that two groups called "cupboard wide" and
"cupboard narrow" both contain a sub-part called "left side" or "shelf
board".
However, when I print the respective labels, both parts will only have
their name printed on the label, e.g. "shelf board" or "left side".
But when I look at this label, I can't tell wether this "shelf board"
belongs to the narrow or the wide cupboard.
Hence I don't know which pile in the workshop the piece has to go to -
the only way to find out is via the dimensions of the board.
So it would be cool if the label could not only mention the name of the
piece, but also the name of the group this piece belongs to, e.g.
+----------------------------------------+
| cupboard wide <= group or library object name
| shelf board <= piece name as given in the input
list
|
| 220 x 481 mm <= more information...
+---------------------------------------+
This might sound a bit complicated, but it's actually a real life
situation.
With optimized sheets, you will rarely cut all pieces of one unit from
the same board,
so inevitably you start making piles for each unit while cutting sheet
by sheet according to the optimized layouts.
It's kinda awkward to have to refer to the actual drawings each time
just to find out which of the many cupboards in a kitchen the "shelf
board" with 220x481mm dimension belongs to
so you can put it on the right pile. Especially with cabinet fronts in
kitchens, the dimensions often just vary by a few milimeters and the
difference can't easily be spotted
just by looking at the board. Here a bit more info on the labels would
come in handy...
